感谢montana夸奖，愧不敢当。dennis的评论有见地。我是在看到一楼的译作之后，召集同事来欣赏，并尝试运用我们科研论文得出的结论对译文进行名词化处理，以适应不同文体需要。

从英语思维角度来看，montana注意到了句式结构的信息焦点、动词主动式的目的性和平行结构的语势。英语思维在翻译中的作用，最重要的还是设身处地地体验读者会如何解读译文，译文的解码信息与译者打算传递的信息是否接近或一致。如：上文中的the new textbook，我们中国教育工作者都知道指的是什么，但译文是给不懂汉语的读者看的，他们对这篇论文的了解主要依赖摘要，如果摘要的内容他们似懂非懂，甚至不知所云，那就难以引起他们了解全文的兴趣。其它还有 senior middle school 的意思，learn和utilize的宾语，raise the teaching standard 的搭配，以及普通高中的“普通”等等都需要进一步斟酌。当然，一楼的译文很可能是一挥而就的，让我这样一说，好象有多少错误似的。从交际的角度，译文是很好的，非常流畅，行文也很自然。有感而发，切勿见怪。
