There was another new bridge flying over the Huanpu river in November,1995, the Fengfu bridge, which conects the Punan and Fengxian, and is the forth one after the building and openning of Xupu, Nanpu and Yangpu bridges. It is the first bridge which was financed by local authorities over the Huangpu River . Fengxian country and the related department in rural area together with the local corporations raised funds at the amount of 4.46 billion Yuan to build it within a year and 7 months. The buildingup of the bridge make it easier to cross the river, and improved the investment environment, provided the foundation for the development in the North bank of Hangzhou as well. The four bidges acrossed the Huangpu River : XUpu, Nanpu, Yangpu and Fengpu, were bathed in sunshine and added radiance and beauty to each other in November, which have made Shanghai--a cosmopolitan city vigorous and vital. In measurable future, Shanghai will built more facilities for passing the river to knit the two banks of Huanpu River together.
