“Life is a lie.... without an f....”
When a net friend suddenly said so, I was really surprised. I know he was joking. However, that saying really made me think of what life could be. After all, I do not want my life to lose the “f”.
Some said that life is a drama. Some said that life is a dream. Some said that life is a journey. In a web dictionary, there are twenty meanings of life as a noun--- it could be just “the period from birth to death”; it could be “a way or manner of living”; it could also be “the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual” and so on. Then, what do you think your life is?
I do not believe that life could be a dream. A dream is unreal and fleeting. When we mention about dreams, we are talking about something that is past or imaginative on mind and comes from nowhere. But life focuses on “Now”! But life is real! We live in every moment; we feel in every moment. I do not believe that life should be a drama either. The writer decides what would happen in a drama. But it is ourselves who deicide our lives. There are many chances that we could change our lives. If everything is settled, why should we think then? A journey resembles a life most. We broaden our horizon as we further go ahead. But still, life is not just a journey. We return home after a journey, what could be after life? Who knows! I guess that is the reason why we should cherish life too. Life is life.
Back to the joke, could life be a lie without the “f”? Maybe. Do you have faith in yourself? Are you frank to yourself? When someone could not face his or her own life, then life could be a lie. Of course, if we play word tricks like this, we could found many other words. The one that interests me most is “lief”, which means beloved and glad. Yes. If we look at things in different manners, the results could vary too, and could be a pleasant surprise.
So, life is mostly what we make it and depends on how we think of it. In French people express their different feelings of life by “C’est la vie” and “C’est vie”. The first one reflects happiness and satisfaction while the second one is just a sigh. Just the difference of whether the happy spice is added. Why not make a sweet dish of life? We are the cooks!

hey lamb, don't indulge in these metaphors

life is what you make it

PS a poem i came across lately and wanna share with u guys

"Life is fine"
by Langston Hughes

I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn't,
So I jumped in and sank.

I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn't been so cold
I might've sunk and died.
But it was   Cold in that water!   It was cold!

I took the elevator
Sixteen floors above the ground.
I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.

I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn't a-been so high
I might've jumped and died.
But it was   High up there!   It was high!

So since I'm still here livin',
I guess I will live on.
I could've died for love--
But for livin' I was born

Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry--
I'll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.
Life is fine!   Fine as wine!   Life is fine!
