在《变形金刚2》中，美军使用舰载电磁炮将巨型机器人打成一推废铁零件。

有大陆媒体称中国电磁炮真实战力领先美俄至少80年。

根据外媒报道：
英国的 BAE Systems 公司曾从美国海军研究办公室获得了价值 2100 万美元的合同，为美海军开发磁道炮。
但由于五角大楼的预算问题以及战略能力办公室对其失去兴趣，该项目已经基本停滞。

因为美国海军已经对这种项目不感兴趣了。。。
