Review:
Excellent supplement to Nelson's
If you want to shine a bit more on rounds during the \"what do you want to do\" portion of the pimping, this book helps. If you're a textbook person this is great, it's easier than googling or pubmeding and looking for journals. Of course now a days, everyone has \"up to date online\", but if you like textbooks, this is useful for most topics a couple of years after publication. Must admit though, as soon as UTDol came out, i stopped using this....
THe ideal place for this book would be in a busy private practice office or for someone who isn't too computer savvy or doesn't like doing lit searches.

Review:
Outstanding pediatric textbook
This new edition of formerly Gellis & Kagan Current Pediatric Therapy is a renewed edition in many ways. It's format has changed to point key issues at start of every chapter, along with sections on expert opinion on management issues for each chapter, plus the very good idea to include a common pitfalls section. The sugested readings reminds me those annotated references in publications like Current Opinion in Pediatrics. This edition includes a short description of each reference cited in each chapter. Not only a very easy to read book, but a well organized one. The only think I don't like is the unstability of the online version, but this one could be related to my browser and firewall configuration too.
